Ethnos360, formerly known as New Tribes Mission, is a church-planting missions organization founded in 1942. Paul Fleming and five others had no funds and no organization behind them when they dared to trust God to establish NTM. “It seemed that the Lord had pushed us into something, and we were confident that no man started New Tribes Mission; the Lord brought it into existence in spite of us,” Paul wrote.
“New Tribes Mission’s efforts shall be directed … where no witness of the Gospel has yet reached.”
That founding vision has not changed. Today more than 3,000 missionaries serve throughout the world — global partners from some 36 countries working in about 34 countries — and training programs in more than a dozen countries prepare missionaries for service. In more than 6,000 people groups around the world there is no church, nor is any work being done to establish one. These are the people among whom Ethnos360 works.
How the work is done

In the culture and language of the people
These people groups’ cultures and languages have isolated them from the Gospel. Ethnos360 missionaries learn the language — often unwritten — and the culture that gives its words meaning, so the message is actually understood.

Through the whole counsel of God’s word
Foundational Bible teaching from Genesis forward, sustainable literacy, and Bible translation put God’s written word into the hands and hearts of the people themselves.

Toward thriving indigenous churches
The objective is not a visit or a decision count, but maturing churches led by Biblically qualified local leaders who join in taking the Gospel onward — a thriving Church for every people. United in doctrine, purpose, and methodology across the Global Partner network.
Why I recommend Ethnos360
This website is intended to direct people toward the ministry of Ethnos360. Since 1970 I have directly observed and engaged in this ministry — as a missionary kid in Borneo, on the aviation team in Papua New Guinea, and now in mobilization. We have seen the track record, the fruit, of Ethnos360, and believe the team is very focused as well as skilled in applying Biblical principles toward effectively reaching unreached people groups. I don’t recommend what I haven’t seen work.
